The Plymouth Inn

Our local!  Just a couple of minutes walk from the front door of Okeside Cottage, enjoy the traditional 'locals' pub with excellent local ales and basic pub-grub served in the bar and separate restaurant menu.  Daily 'specials' and occasional live music.

 

 

 

 

The Fountain Inn

Fore Street, Okehampton

Strolling distance from Okeside Cottage, enjoy this traditional Coaching Inn serving locally sourced produce to a high standard, together with well kept local ales and cider.  In additional to the bar, and stone walled restaurant, there is a riverside beer garden.

Ma'ida Indian Restaurant

Ma'ida - The Feast.  And it certainly is!  Providing good quality Indian food, with some unusual dishes, in quantities suitable for the hearty appetite!  Ma'ida is not licenced, but invites diners to bring along their own wine.

 

Rajpoot Indian Restaurant and Take-away

A restaurant on two levels - contemporary dining upstairs, and traditional style indian restaurant on the basement level.  Excellent food, inspired by food eaten in the indian home, with some dishes unique to Rajpoot.

 

   

 

The Torrs Inn

Belstone, Okehampton

The Torrs Inn is a small family run pub, with an excellent reputation locally for well kept real ales, generous home-cooked food and friendly atmosphere.  Set in the centre of Belstone on Dartmoor itself, this pub is a welcome site for the thirsty hiker!  Follow a circular route via the Takka trail and Okement river from Okeside Cottage onto the moor, visit the pub for lunch and home for an excellent day's hike.

 

The Kings Arms

A traditional thatched Devon Inn with a beer garden overlooking the village and Cosdon Beacon.  The Kings Arms is a traditional longhouse built in the 16th Century.  The pub provides home cooked, locally produced food and serves some excellent local ales.

   

 

The Bearslake Inn

Lake, Sourton, Okehampton, Devon EX20 4HQ

Originally a working farm, this traditional longhouse is thought to have been built in the 13th century.  Offering excellent bar meals as well as a restaurant, serving good quality meals, sourced from local producers and suppliers.
